The Status of Orcas in Canadian Waters (2021).
Orcas, or more commonly known as killer whales, have been facing life-altering challenges due to anthropogenic activities in Canadian coastal waters. From sea to sea to sea, the killer whale has called Canadian waters its home for thousands of years. Yet the recent attribution of teetering from threatened to endangered has brought the species’ ability to survive in question. This paper lightly covers the status of Canadian orcas as recent as 2021.
