دھوپ دیپ گھرت ساجِ آرتی ۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): Sri Sain: With incense, lamps and ghee, I offer this lamp-lit worship service.
(Manmohan Singh): Venerable Sain: I offer adoration prayers with incense, lamps and clarified butter.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): In the Measure Dhanasari—Composition of the Venerable Sain: Making devotion the incense, lamps and ghee for arati (worship-offering).
(Kartar Singh Duggal): Dhanasari Sain: My devotion to the Supreme Deity is my incense, light and ghee for the arati.¹
(Darshan Singh): SRI SEIN: Collecting incense, lamps, ghee, I offer Arti.
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): Sri Sain: O Lord! I am reciting Your True Name only which is my fragrant essence with True Name as the lamp or the ghee and recitation of True Name forms my mode of Arti instead of the formal worldly rituals.
(Anmol Singh Rode): Dhanasari Measure; (of) Venerable Sain: I offer this Aarti (lamp-lit prayer) with incense, lamps and clarified butter.

ਵਾਰਨੇ ਜਾਉ ਕਮਲਾਪਤੀ ॥੧॥
وارنے جاؤ کملاپتی ۔۔۱۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): I am a sacrifice to the Lord of Lakshmi. ||1||
(Manmohan Singh): I am a sacrifice unto the Lord of Lakhshmi.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): To the Lord am I a sacrifice. (1)
(Kartar Singh Duggal): My devotion to the Supreme Deity is my incense, light and ghee for the arati.¹
(Darshan Singh): I sacrifice myself for you, O! husband of Kamla (God). 1
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): O Lord! I am a sacrifice to You alone, by reciting True Name. (1)
(Anmol Singh Rode): I am but a mere sacrifice to the Lord of Laxmi — God. ॥1॥

(Sant Singh Khalsa): Again and again, hail to You, Lord King, Ruler of all! ||1||Pause||
(Manmohan Singh): Eternal bliss is thine, O my Sovereign Lord, the Emperor. Pause.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): Sing ever paeans of glory of the Divine King. (I-Pause)
(Kartar Singh Duggal): Ever hail the Divine King.
(Darshan Singh): Ever sing the song of joy of God-king. 1 (pause)
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): which gives us the bliss and joy of the life. (Pause-1)

ਊਤਮੁ ਦੀਅਰਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬਾਤੀ ॥
اوتمُ دیئرا نرمل باتی ۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): Sublime is the lamp, and pure is the wick.
(Manmohan Singh): The sublime lamp and pure wick art Thou,
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): Lord! realization that Thou art immaculate,
(Kartar Singh Duggal): You are the light noble and the flick holy.
(Darshan Singh): My lamp is good, wick is pure,
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): The recitation of True Name comprises our lamp with the love of Lord as its wick,
(Anmol Singh Rode): Exalted is the lamp; pure is the wick.
ਤੁਹੀਂ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਕਮਲਾ ਪਾਤੀ ॥੨॥
تہیں نرنجنُ کملا پاتی ۔۔۲۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): You are immaculate and pure, O Brilliant Lord of Wealth! ||2||
(Manmohan Singh): O Bright Lord of wealth.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): Is for me the noble lamp and the holy wick. (2)
(Kartar Singh Duggal): You are the Lord above every folly.
(Darshan Singh): you, the husband of Kamla, are taintless (God.) 2
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): which enlightens the whole world with its light to have a glimpse of the Lord, free from the effects of Maya. (2)
(Anmol Singh Rode): Thou art pristine, O Wondrous Lord of Wealth. ॥2॥
ਰਾਮਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਰਾਮਾਨੰਦੁ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
راما بھگتِ رامانندُ جانے ۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): Raamaanand knows the devotional worship of the Lord.
(Manmohan Singh): The Lord’s meditation, Rama Nand, my Guru knows.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): The way of Divine devotion is known to my master. Ramanand
(Kartar Singh Duggal): Ramanand, the devotee of Rama says,
(Darshan Singh): The devotion of Ram, only Ram Nand knows.
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): O Lord! My Guru Ramanand has known Your worship as his arti,
(Anmol Singh Rode): Saint Ramanand is ever knowing of Thy worship.
ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦੁ ਬਖਾਨੈ ॥੩॥
پورن پرمانندُ بکھانے ۔۔۳۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): He says that the Lord is all-pervading, the embodiment of supreme joy. ||3||
(Manmohan Singh): He describes the Lord as Omnipresent and the Embodiment of Supreme joy.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): Who expounds the Supreme Bliss, perfection incarnate. (3)
(Kartar Singh Duggal): The profound Parmanand also prays,
(Darshan Singh): I speak of the perfect supreme God. 3
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): and has explained to us the way to a blissful life by reciting True Name of the Lord only. (3)
(Anmol Singh Rode): Sayeth He; Omnipresent is Thou, Embodiment of Supreme Ecstasy. ॥3॥
ਮਦਨ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਭੈ ਤਾਰਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੇ ॥
مدن مورتِ بھے تارِ گوبندے ۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): The Lord of the world, of wondrous form, has carried me across the terrifying world-ocean.
(Manmohan Singh): The World Master of fascinating form has ferried me across the terrible world ocean.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): Lord of charming figure! across the ocean of existence take me.
(Kartar Singh Duggal): My Master of charming looks release me from fear,
(Darshan Singh): O! my God, of charming being, let me cross over fear.
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): 0 Lord-Gobind I May You save me from this tortuous ocean of life, being the personification in the form of charming Ram Chand.
(Anmol Singh Rode): I hath been ferried across this dreadful world-ocean by My Lord Master; of Awesome Form.
ਸੈਨੁ ਭਣੈ ਭਜੁ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦੇ ॥੪॥੨॥
سینُ بھنے بھجُ پرمانندے ۔۔۴۔۔۲۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): Says Sain, remember the Lord, the embodiment of supreme joy! ||4||2||
(Manmohan Singh): Says, Sain, “Remember thou, God, the Embodiment of Supreme joy”.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): Saith Sain: To the Master of Supreme Bliss be you devoted. (4) (1)
(Kartar Singh Duggal): Begs Sain in the name of Parmanand, the seer.
(Darshan Singh): Sein says, “I remember supremely blissful, God.” 4.2
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): O Sain! I always worship the Lord alone, the source of all bliss! (4 -2)
(Anmol Singh Rode): Sayeth Sain; remember God – Supreme Ecstasy Personified. ॥4॥2॥
ਪੀਪਾ ॥ پیپا ۔۔
ਕਾਯਉ ਦੇਵਾ ਕਾਇਅਉ ਦੇਵਲ ਕਾਇਅਉ ਜੰਗਮ ਜਾਤੀ ॥
کایؤ دیوا کائیؤ دیول کائیؤ جنگم جاتی ۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): Peepaa: Within the body, the Divine Lord is embodied. The body is the temple, the place of pilgrimage, and the pilgrim.
(Manmohan Singh): Pipa: In the body, the Lord is present. The body is His temple, In the body is the place of pilgrimage, of which I am pilgrim.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): In the Measure Dhanasari—Composition of Bhakta Pīpa: The self is itself the deity; the self the temple; the self too the wandering ascetic and pilgrim.
(Kartar Singh Duggal): Dhanasari Pipa: The self is the deity, the self is the temple, the self is the tribe of the trackers who trample.
(Darshan Singh): PEEPA: In body is deity, in body is temple, in body is the deity of Shaivite sect.
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): Pipa: This human body is the god and the Abode of the Lord and the body alone is the pilgrim leading to the Abode of the Lord.
(Anmol Singh Rode): Pipa: The Divine Lord is manifest within the body – such body is the temple, destination of pilgrimage and the pilgrim.
ਕਾਇਅਉ ਧੂਪ ਦੀਪ ਨਈਬੇਦਾ ਕਾਇਅਉ ਪੂਜਉ ਪਾਤੀ ॥੧॥
کائیؤ دھوپ دیپ نئیبیدا کائیؤ پوجؤ پاتی ۔۔۱۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): Within the body are incense, lamps and offerings. Within the body are the flower offerings. ||1||
(Manmohan Singh): In the body are incense, earthen lamps and oblation, in the body is the leaf offering.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): The self is incense, the lamp and the offering, the self the flower-offering. (1)
(Kartar Singh Duggal): The self is the essence, light and the offering. In the self are the flowers the devotees string. (1)
(Darshan Singh): In body is the incense, lamps (earthen), and scriptures, in body are leaves for worship. 1
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): Even the essence and the lamp is formed by this body, which is the only mode of worship including the leaves or fruits being offered as arti of Lord. (1)
(Anmol Singh Rode): Within the body itself are incense, lamps and offerings – herein maintained are offerings of flowers. ॥1॥
ਕਾਇਆ ਬਹੁ ਖੰਡ ਖੋਜਤੇ ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
کایا بہُ کھنڈ کھوجتے نو ندھِ پائی ۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): I searched throughout many realms, but I found the nine treasures within the body.
(Manmohan Singh): I have searched many regions and it is only in the body that I have found the nine treasures.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): In searching through the continents of the self are obtained the Nine Treasures.
(Kartar Singh Duggal): In the continent of the self, I found the Treasures Nine.
(Darshan Singh): The nine-fold treasures are in body, though many search these from lot of continents.
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): We have realised all the nine treasures of the world in this human body, having sought the Lord’s secrets. O Lord!
(Anmol Singh Rode): Many realms hath I wandered in search and lo, the nine treasures are manifest within the physical frame.
ਨਾ ਕਛੁ ਆਇਬੋ ਨਾ ਕਛੁ ਜਾਇਬੋ ਰਾਮ ਕੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
نا کچھُ آئبو نا کچھُ جائبو رام کی دہائی ۔۔۱۔۔ رہاؤ ۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): Nothing comes, and nothing goes; I pray to the Lord for Mercy. ||1||Pause||
(Manmohan Singh): Since I have invoked the mercy of Lord, there is no coming and no going. Pause.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): The Lord be my witness! nothing is born or dies. (I-Pause)
(Kartar Singh Duggal): No one is born, no one dies, says the Lord sublime.
(Darshan Singh): Neither something comes nor goes, I speak on oath of God. 1 (pause)
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): Nothing is born, and no one perishes is the fact realised by us. (Pause - 1)
(Anmol Singh Rode): I beseech The Lord for Mercy; the coming and going has ceased. ॥1॥Refrain॥
ਜੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡੇ ਸੋਈ ਪਿੰਡੇ ਜੋ ਖੋਜੈ ਸੋ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
جو برہمنڈے سوئی پنڈے جو کھوجے سو پاوے ۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): The One who pervades the Universe also dwells in the body; whoever seeks Him, finds Him there.
(Manmohan Singh): He, who is in the universe, that also abides in the body and whoever seeks, he finds Him there.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): Whatever is in the cosmos is present too in the self—whoever seeks, attains this secret.
(Kartar Singh Duggal): Whatever is in the world is obtaining in self, He who seeks, finds it himself.
(Darshan Singh): Whatever is in universe, is in body, one who searches will get.
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): The Lord, who is pervading the whole universe, is present in this body and can be realised by a seeker of Truth.
(Anmol Singh Rode): That Lord about in the Universe, All-Pervading, dwells manifest within – whosever seeks shall find.
ਪੀਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਣਵੈ ਪਰਮ ਤਤੁ ਹੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਲਖਾਵੈ ॥੨॥੩॥
پیپا پرنوے پرم تتُ ہے ستگرُ ہوئ لکھاوے ۔۔۲۔۔۳۔۔
(Sant Singh Khalsa): Peepaa prays, the Lord is the supreme essence; He reveals Himself through the True Guru. ||2||3||
(Manmohan Singh): Prays Pipa, “The Lord is the supreme quintessence of all. When there is the True Guru, he revealeth His unto us”.
(Gurbachan Singh Talib): States Pīpa in humility: The Lord is the Supreme Essence—the holy Preceptor realization of this grants. (2) (1)
(Kartar Singh Duggal): Says Pipa, it is eternal truth, Only the True Guru helps realise forsooth. (2) 3
(Darshan Singh): Peepa says, “The supreme God is, if there is true Guru, he can show Him.” 2.3
(Gurbachan Singh Makin): O Pipa! The Lord-sublime (Prime-soul) is within this body which is realised only through the Guru’s guidance. (2 -3)
(Anmol Singh Rode): Prays Pipa; The Lord is but the Supreme Essence, Indispensable – Revealed through the True Guru. ॥2॥3॥
